with Victoria Lyall, Ph.D. (Frederick and Jan Mayer Curator of Pre-Columbian Art) and Jennifer Henneman, Ph.D. (Associate Curator, Petrie Institute of Western American Art)
In preparation for the reopening of the North Building, curators are hard at work planning the reinstallation of the permanent collections. Curators Victoria Lyall and Jennifer Henneman will share how they are approaching this exciting challenge, discussing the issues most relevant to permanent galleries today and, in particular, to collections that represent the art of the Americas. Topics will range from the broad such as how the history of a collection impacts its future display to the particular, including strategies for exhibiting individual objects and the importance of effective gallery design.
