Circa 1941: Jacob Lawrence’s Migration Series in Context

Between 1940-1941, Jacob Lawrence conceived and executed the 60 small panels that comprise the Migration Series, four of which are on view in All Stars. This talk, led by Dean S. Sobel, Associate Professor of the Practice of Art History and Museum Studies and Art History faculty at the University of Denver, explores how and why this series became so popular.
