Insight - Freedom to Tell All: Packaging the Exhibition Norman Rockwell: Imagining Freedom

Exhibitions at the Denver Art Museum involve the coordinated teamwork of many individuals, as you'll learn in this engaging conversation with the curator of the museum s presentation of Norman Rockwell: Imagining Freedom, Timothy James Standring. You'll learn how Team DAM fabricated its unique display of this important traveling exhibition. Discover how much work went into making this presentation of the exhibition unique - a result of an intensely creative collaboration between Standring and his colleagues - and learn how the team responded to the times, from putting on the finishing touches during a pandemic to responding to today's political and cultural landscape.

This course will be presented as a live-stream webinar. Additional instructions will be sent by email before the session.

Virtual Logan Lecture: Senga Nengudi

Senga Nengudi is one of the most celebrated artists working in installation and performance art since the 1960s. Often incorporating found materials, Nengudi's work explores notions of race, ethnicity, culture, and gender identity. Based in Colorado Spring for more than 30 years, Nengudi creates video and music expanding upon her conceptual work by incorporating ritual dance and further engaging the cross-cultural dialogue central to her practice.

This lecture will be presented virtually on Zoom. More information will be sent via email after registration.
