Logan Lecture: Mark Bradford

MARK BRADFORD

This event is sold out. Depending on availabilty, additional tickets may be released in May.

Mark Bradford compares his studio process with that of Clyfford Still:  What caught my eye was the insistence of his paintings. His surfaces were more raw and immediate than other abstract expressionist paintings.  Representing the U.S. in the 2017 Venice Biennale, Bradford joins us for the 100th Logan lecture where he will speak about the exhibition Shade: Clyfford Still / Mark Bradford. The conversation will be led by DAM Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art, Rebecca Hart, and Clyfford Still Museum Director, Dean Sobel. The painting Realness (at left) is a significant work included in the exhibition.

This lecture is co-sponsored by the Clyfford Still Museum. This series is sponsored by Vicki and Kent Logan in affiliation with DAM Contemporaries.

INDIVIDUAL LECTURES:

$8 museum volunteers

$18 nonmembers
